Remember when you were a student? Most likely you were short of cash and had a limited choice of jobs. Our Founders Cihan, Frederik and Fritz remember that too and that’s why they started Zenjob. We believe you should be able to do a job you like and be able to fund your life as a student.

Our vision is to change the future of work with technology. We start doing that by offering students jobs in real-time through our app and providing companies with a platform that manages their staffing needs. Today more than 10.000 students, we call them Talents, fund their studies through Zenjob and already close to 1.000 companies trust us with providing great talent.

We’ve come a long way in a short space of time. While there are many things we’re already proud of achieving, there are still a lot of decisions to be made - so you’ll get to shape and build things from scratch.

The Team

The People & Culture Team plays an important part in the success of Zenjob. To date, we have supported the growth of our team who now number more than 180 people throughout Germany. Our mission is to hire with purpose (and for balance), nurture our talent and create safe and inspiring places of work. This is where you come in. 

How you’ll contribute

Having recently consolidated our Berlin Headquarters into one location in Alt-Moabit, we now have a perfect opportunity to rethink how we create and support a healthy and inspiring working environment for our people. 


We’re looking for you to:

  • Own the workplace strategy and develop this in line with our future goals

  • Be the role model that takes care and pride in our workplaces and encourages others to do the same 

  • Manage the relationships with our landlords, vendors and suppliers

  • Design and introduce programs that encourage health and wellbeing for our people

  • Create the ‘wow’ moments for all visitors (candidates, guests, talents) that feel effortless yet personal

  • Develop and nurture a feedback culture that continually improves the workplace experience

  • Track and manage the budget for this area with a focus on value for money without compromising on quality

  • Contribute to the employee onboarding experience and ongoing acknowledgements of anniversaries and special events

  • Support event planning both internally and externally

  • Lead, coach and develop a small team 

What you bring

Where can you already contribute with your existing knowledge and expertise? Where are their areas you still want to develop and learn?

  • Ideally you’ve already experienced working at a similar sized organization or have ambitions to take the next step

  • You are fluent in German, have a good level of business English and keen to work in an international and multicultural environment

  • You’re a natural when it comes to organising, planning and structuring your work

  • You take a proactive approach to identifying and addressing problems

  • You can actively manage people’s expectations and communicate in a thoughtful and understanding way

  • You can build meaningful relationships and a strong internal network across different teams and with a variety of stakeholders.

  • You are an active listener and thoughtful in how you communicate.

  • You feel comfortable bringing your own ideas to improve the way we work.
